Back in 1977, Alpha sparked at Holy Trinity Brompton London. In 1990, Nicky Gumbel envisioned it as a bridge for those outside the church to explore faith. Today, Alpha thrives globally, reaching millions in over 100 countries and languages. Alpha UK supports local churches in running Alpha and Freedom Church are excited to be hosting a course that has changed the lives of countless individuals across the world.
Structure
Imagine ten cosy sessions, each Sunday evening, punctuated by an end-of-term celebration. Each session starts with a delicious meal, followed by a thought-provoking talk that ignites conversation. Then comes the heart of Alpha: open discussion where you can share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage freely. There are no wrong turns, just genuine exploration and understanding.

Alpha looks to discuss life’s biggest questions, from "Who is Jesus?" and "What happens after death?" to "Why is there suffering?" and "How can I find purpose?". Alpha isn't about providing all the answers; it's about creating a space to explore these questions together, finding comfort in shared doubts and discovering new perspectives on faith and life.

Open your heart and take the first step by submitting a form to register your interest. Alpha runs on Sunday evenings with Tom and Sian Cooke at their house south-west of Hereford city. Remember, there's no pressure to commit – join, leave, discuss, or simply listen. Alpha values your journey, wherever it takes you.
